I’m a head grower and general manager for a medium-sized wholesale greenhouse in the Midwest. We are propagators as well as finished growers, so I plan to include lots of content about vegetative propagation as well as all aspects of finishing flowering annuals and potted plants. I have over eleven years in the wholesale bedding plant industry and have been propagating for the last 7 years. I want to share my experiences, successes, and probably some failures with other growers. I have started Ask a Grower because I feel that professional greenhouse growers need a place where we can discuss problems and find solutions in our industry and the world of floriculture. I’m starting out with just a blog and I plan to post when I can (hopefully alot) about what I’m doing in the greenhouse. If I can generate some discussion about my posts and bring enough growers or researchers/educators onto the site, then I want to start a forum or discussion board where growers can post questions and answer each others problems. Hence the name Ask a Grower.
