Pansy plugs: Spring is here!
By admin | October 2, 2007
It’s awfully early to be talking about spring bedding plant production but we’ve already sown our first batch of pansies and they have started to emerge. I have learned over the years to put a light Arest application on the plug trays right before the cotyledons start to emerge. This eliminates any early stretching and keeps our plugs compact from the get go. These seeds were sown last Thursday and this picture was taken this afternoon. In 5 weeks we will transplant them and start our spring production in earnest.
