Ask a Grower is Traveling to San Diego
By admin | August 27, 2007
I will be visiting sunny San Diego in the middle of September and since its a bona fide hotbed of floriculture, I’ll be visiting a few growers while I’m there. This will be my first trip to California so I’ll spend some time on the beach and take in some sights in my spare time. I know that EuroAmerican Propagators are having an open house that week so I’ll definitely check them out but I don’t have any other visits planned.
I am looking for suggestions from anyone in the San Diego area or readers who are familiar with the area.
- Are there any growers or garden centers that I should try to see while I’m there?
- Are there any Ask a Grower readers that would like me to visit their greenhouse?
- Should a landlocked greenhouse man try to surf for the first time?
- I hear the fish tacos are awesome in San Diego, where can I get some?

Enjoy surfing. Fish tacos…not my thing, but I’d suggest finding a low key, hole in the wall, mom & pop type place. They always have the best food.
